I love the quote from Henry Ford, “if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” Ahem, Mr. Ford, that should be, “always get what you’ve always gotten. I don’t care how much money the guy earned, you know, I’m a stickler for good grammar.

But it’s a fantastic quote. If you want more out of life, you have to do more. It doesn’t matter what area you’re trying to improve either…money, happiness, relationships, knowledge, skill…you will always get out at least what you put in. We receive in exact proportion to the amount of service we give and to the amount of effort we put forth, so if you want more, give more. It probably seems so simple…that’s because it is.

Do just a little more today than you did yesterday. Do this everyday, and you will always be progressing, always be improving, and always be becoming a better person. And soon it will become so easy to do more that you’ll wonder every day why the hell you did so little yesterday – IRRATIONAL LIVING

Do You Visualize What You Want In Life?

Put mildly, you are what you think you are.

Read this motivational piece from Dan Simms after the image

It has been said that the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real input, and a fake one. I’m sure this means something cool and mysterious, but what has also been said in relation to this, is that if you believe you have become something, and act the part of that something, you will become it. Your subconscious mind will receive the input (of being the person you want to be), and will process it just as it would if you actually were that person! The reason is because science.

This idea is backed up by some of the most influential minds in history. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “a man is what he thinks about all day long.” In Proverbs it says, “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” I’m not sure who said this one, as the quote seems to have mysteriously excised itself from the internet…”before we do something, we must become something.”

The list goes on and on, and the people are innumerable. It has worked all throughout history; the people who envision themselves as a specific person, or having a specific thing in life, and who believe that they will have it by some means unknown to them, become it or get it.

Some people call it the “law of attraction.” I’m not entirely sure what it is, but it has worked for enough people in the past…you might as well give it a go, right? – IRRATIONAL LIVING, LLC

BUHARI’S LONDON TRIP TO LONDON 5 DAYS TO HANDOVER FOR MEDICAL CHECK OR REHEARSAL

BUHARI’S LONDON TRIP TO LONDON 5 DAYS TO HANDOVER FOR MEDICAL CHECK OR REHEARSAL

Scan News Reported that General Muhammadu Buhari, The Nigerian president – elect paid a surprise visit to Number 10 Downing Street yesterday where he had an impromptu meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron during which they agreed on military cooperation to fight Boko Haram.

Fuel Crisis Agreement Reached

Oil marketers who constitute the middlemen in Nigeria’s refined petroleum products market have now reached an agreement with the outgoing Goodluck Jonathan‘s administration and, potentially, amounting to some $1 billion in Nigeria’s NNPC share. As reported by Sahara Reporters.

This move by the oil marketers was seen by many as a last attempt to receive a major lump sum payout from the Nigerian treasury before an unpredictable Muhammadu Buhari takes office in four days time.

Do you think Nigeria’s governance models need to be reformed to ensure that major payouts to Nigeria’s creditors do not happen in the last stages of a major political transition? If in Nigeria, would you have been able to wait out the fuel shortages through a few more weeks as the new administration, potentially, worked a better deal for Nigeria?

Sacrificed For The Good Of The Whole

By Paul Okonji.

Has darkness overtaken the Light. Can this happen? My heart says it cannot happen as a tinny Ray of light, no matter how little, displaces mass of darkness.

Dimed by evil of man

The old slogan that says,

the greatest good to the greatest number” may be misleading. Sometimes, it is used to justify evil in the name of the good of the society, but nothing can be morally good if individuals have to be sacrificed to gain it.

“Therefore, the cure for evil is the unobstructed sound and light. When this occurs……. , then all darkness and evil vanishes as does
the night disappear when the sun rises” – Paul Twitchel.

The world over boils for the quests of man to assert control, create and make wealth. Gain political and spiritual control of the earthly world. No limits drawn.

A few decides for the whole humanity, many are caused to die because of insatiable quests for human and earthly control of the few. Plague the whole humanity and proffer remedies to the gains of a few, yet many more are sacrificed. Create fears, lock up humanity, release humanity upon gaining total control……and many lives are rendered useless. The few who survive will have less voices to protests and concentric circles of evil multiplies decade after decades.

This is the control of darkness over the light because the enlightened has no control, no voices.

How can this be collectively corrected? Individually? yes. Collectively? I don’t think it happens.

Go to the inner recess, work to be enlightened to overcome.

One Who Visits A King, Always Would Dress Up In His Best Attire.

By Paul Okonji

One who has the rare privilege of visiting a king, would always dress up and appear in their best clothing…..even the paupers are not left out of this norm.

On An Elephant Ride On Their Best To A Kingly Visit.

But why do we do it?

The poor who has this rare privilege may dig deep into their ragged wodrobe to look their best. Likewise, the affluents will dig deeper into their wodrobe or even go ashoping for new outfits just for effects and impress. This in effect on both divides of the human strata is to look their best as marks of honour and respect to the king. It’s an added boost to human confidence and swagar.

On the other hand, the king might be seen to have some regards for a clean and properly dressed visitor.

Man has faithfully transfered this same reverence to an unseen God as most people dress their bests for worships services. People want to look their best before their maker.

Look your best Always for cleanliness is close to godliness. It helps open closed doors.

A Shallow Heart

By Paul Okonji.

A broken Heart Can Mend

Since completing my last effort at writing, entitled Life In The Colony Of The Wise on the 28/11/20 and having to move location southward to reunite with my family after 11 months of absence. My zeal and inspiration to write dropped. I became content with reblog as a reader. Days past without even a visit to my site. Not with the site yet be upgraded because of puascity of funds. I try disuade myself from dropping off entirely from publishing because of this. This is not my only handicap. The order being that of having to type thousands of words from my Android phone. My laptop has been bad unable to afford it’s cost of repairs.
