President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Niger Republic on his first official visit outside Nigeria since his inauguration last Friday.
The President is in the West African country to hold security talks with Nigerien President, Mr. Mahamadou Issoufou, over the Boko Haram.
The President was received at the airport by President Issoufou and members of his cabinet.
A Nigerian delegation made up of the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, Yobe Governor, Ibrahim Geidam and Sokoto State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, were also at the airport to receive the President.
President Buhari is scheduled to depart to Chad later in the day where is billed to meet with President Idriss Deby to hold further talks on the Boko Haram.
Chad, Cameroun and Niger are members of the multi-regional task force fighting the Boko Haram.
